How Prunes can prevent disease in the intestines
I have eaten raisins my entire life, but I never tried prunes only until recently since I wanted to add more fiber to my diet. I wasn’t having any problems with constipation at all since I have plenty of olive oil in my diet.
I have been hooked on prunes ever since the first day that I ate them, because they taste so delicious. To me, prunes taste like bigger, juicier raisins even though prunes are really dried plums.
I wish prunes weren’t so potent so I could eat more without worrying about running to the bathroom. I limit myself to 2-3 prunes in the morning and then 2-3 at night, because they are that strong.
Keeping yourself as healthy as possible is very important these days with the Government takeover of healthcare on the horizon. There have been many reports that unhealthy people (smokers or obese) have been discriminated against when it comes to getting healthcare in countries that offer socialized medicine.
THEY will want to control your behaviors to bring down the cost of healthcare. this is inevitable.
Prunes are well known for their ability to prevent constipation. In addition to providing bulk and decreasing the transit time of fecal matter, thus decreasing the risk of colon cancer and hemorrhoids, prunes’ insoluble fiber also provides food for the “friendly” bacteria in the large intestine.
